Skype A Scientist - Story of the Universe and the IceCube Observatory
Presented virtually over Microsoft-Teams, it was an outreach talk given to about sixty-five fourth-grade students of Campbell Elementary School, U.S.A. ; teaching them about astronomy and telling them about IceCube Observatory in Antarctica. I introduced them to a variety of topics ranging from solar-system to dark-energy. A dedicated-portion was focussed on telling them about the IceCube Neutrino Observatory and the interesting work me and my colleagues do in IceCube. Finally a portion telling them about how they can also become researchers was discussed. The kids asked really interesting questions.
Amazing experience in first @SkypeScientist session. Teaching kids about astronomy as well as @uw_icecube was a lot of fun. Looking forward to more sessions like this. #scicomm #AcademicTwitter #AcademicChatter https://t.co/g97TRop4NS
